It was a warm spring day. We were spring cleaning the rental we had moved into on Prospect the year prior. The neighborhood was nice, as we have moved and finally settled on Toepfer now. Anyway . . . I will say this first . . .

Warren police have made a pledge to get tough on illegal fireworks this 4th of July holiday. Police will be strictly enforcing the city's fireworks ordinance, which prohibits the sale or usage of illegal fireworks.

Marc Creamore grew up in the '60s and early '70s. In his teens he began listening to Bob Dylan and reading the Beat poets, which led to an interest in the spoken word. He currently lives in Vancouver, British Colombia. His newest book is "Notes From the Abandoned Orchard of the Moon" (Frog Hollow Books, 2007). Other titles include "The Wrong Side of the Curtain," "Corridors," "Bleaker Street" and "Tea Leaves and Denim."
