Tejeda walks fewer hitters lately
Tuesday, May 11, 2010 - 10:29 PM EST - 2 Years ago  - 0 Read - MLB - Baseball - Player Update
Tejeda walks fewer hitters latelyRoyals RP Robinson Tejeda is pitching better of late and limiting the walks, reports MLB.com on Tuesday. Tejeda, who issued 11 walks over his first 8 1/3 innings this season with a 12.96 ERA, has walked just two over his last 11 innings while not allowing an earned run over that span. "He got to a better arm slot consistently," manager Trey Hillman said. "That allowed him to get to a better downhill plane, because his arm was quicker, and it allowed him to keep the ball down. Because most of the time when he was throwing balls, it was up and out of the zone. He wasn't bouncing it." Trey Hillman - Robinson Tejeda - Earned run - Relief pitcher - Sports
